I remember Harvey from when he used to sell cars with my husband and when he worked at MWH in Security. Always on the go- always with a smile on his face. I remember particularly when he took the time to speak to a patient who was getting ready to undergo open heart surgery, which Harvey had come through with flying colors years before. He sat with him and showed how you can get back on your feet and live a regular life- it relieved much of the stress and the patient was having. I wrote a message to Harvey’s supervisor and he was recognized for it- Years later Harvey came to visit me at work, he showed me pictures of his grandchildren- told me about what they were doing..the proud grandpa stuff, and in his wallet was that frayed note that I wrote. He kept it for years and said he took it out and read it often…I will never forget this- Harvey has made me appreciate the small stuff, and I will keep writing notes, because you never know what a few kind words will mean to someone

    Mr. Harvey,

May you rest in peace Mr. Harvey. We will miss you stopping by to talk, knocking on the sliding glass door to see if we are home, helping you with your bags to your door, and your beautiful singing voice. It has been a pleasure to have such a wonderful neighbor. You will be missed.

Harvey worked under my command at MWH Security. He was a reliable employee and worked many, many hours and shifts supporting Mary Washington Hospital, and the Security Team.
Harvey and I spoke about God’s Blessings all the time and he was not only a outstanding employee but a great friend. It was an honor to call “Harvey” a friend…..God Bless.

I met Harvey about 10 years ago, I will never forget him, he was a very good and happy man, and boy could he sing, he would come in to the office and was always so happy. I know he is in heaven with his heavenly father. God bless you Mr. Brewer, and god bless his family that he so adored. One of many of your favorite nurses.

We were in Sunday School with Lee for years before we moved to Florida nearly eight years ago. He has been on the classes prayer list since that time, which we continue to receive weekly. Lee was an inspiration to all! We remember his friendly smile and always willing to pray for others. We were so sad to hear of his constant health issues, but knew he always kept his faith! May his family be comforted by these scriptures that Lee seemed to live by: 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”

Heartfelt sympathies to the entire family and especially Lee’s sister, Sallie, who he spoke of so often. Lee was truly one of the most unique individuals we’ve ever known and he was very special to us (and my dearly departed dad). We will always remember that special laugh of his, his incredible sense of humor, and his dedication and faithfulness to his God. He will surely rest in peace.

My husband served with a Harvey Lee Brewer during the Korean War. I believe they were stationed in England together.
Several years ago we tried to find Harvey in Alberta Lea, MINN., with no success. Since we were on our way to Yellowstone Park we only had one night to try to find him. After reading this Harvey’s obit, we are wondering if this is the same Harvey. If so, we are sorry we are too late. Jerry has spoke of him often and the escapeds that they got into. Looking forward to your reply and Thank you
