My thoughts and prayers are going out to the family of Bernice Wood. I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Bernice when we worked together at the Kingstowne Wal-Mart in Springfield, VA. We started working there the same day, and I have always remembered her fondly for her friendliness, wonderful smile, and sense of humor. When I moved to the Fredericksburg Area a few years ago I was delighted to find her working at Wal-Mart there. I have truly missed seeing her in recent months. May she rest in peace. God bless all of you.

    A Mother’s Love from the Child’s Eye

A child knows their mother’s love from the first time they open their eyes
A child wants their mother every time they happen to cry.

Even though we all have grown
You’re love for us was always known

You cared for us when not many did
I bet half the time you were thinking “these damn kids”

We know the kids have done a lot of wrong
But the love you gave us was always incredibly strong

We did many things that didn’t make you proud
But you loved us, even when it wasn’t allowed

A mother’s love is straight from the heart
Always has been, even from the start

A mother knows how to love
A mother is god’s gift from up above

She listens when we thought no one will care
Which is something that is very rare

A mother brings you back to life when all is lost,
No matter what the price, or what the cost.

We will cherish the moments you gave us love,
We know you are looking after us still, from up above

Your love for us will never fade,
All of us children, is what you made

We will do our best to make things right,
For we know that’s why you decided to fight

We will love our siblings like you loved us,
Even if we feel it is unjust.

We could count on you when life was tough,
Your love for us, was always more than enough

The memories we have of you, will remain dear to our hearts
But momma, now is the time for your new start.

You’re in a better place now,
Even though we don’t understand, why or how.

We will remember you, and your love from the best of days
And we will be reminded of your love from the sun’s shining rays.

    As the humming bird flies,
Momma, please let us show you some pride.

Your love was the best love a child could ask for
We couldn’t imagine asking for anything more

    We all love you momma,
    Always… Always… and Forever.
