Friday evening I got a phone call while at work that someone close to me passed away tragically in an automobile accident. It has most definitely been surreal for me because he was a terrific kid. Christopher Patrick McDaniel will forever be in my memories. During the time that I knew him we had an opportunity to travel to New York, Redskins game, Capitals game, Washington D.C., Natural Bridge and his baseball, football and soccer games as well as live with him for over two and a half years as he was growing up. May his memory be ever eternal.
Blessed is our God always, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages.
Amen. Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (3)
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
All-Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, be gracious unto our sins. Master, pardon our transgressions. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Your Name’s sake.
Lord have mercy; Lord have mercy; Lord have mercy.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
Our Father, Who are in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your Name; Your Kingdom come.
Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, I of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
With the spirits of the righteous made perfect Give rest to the soul of Your servant, O Savior; And keep it safe in that life of blessedness That is lived with You, O Friend of Man.
In the place of Your rest, O Lord, Where all Your Saints repose, Give rest also to the soul of Your servant, For You alone are immortal.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
You are our God Who went down to Hades To loose the pains of the dead that were there; Give rest also to the soul of Your servant, O Savior.
Both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
O Virgin, alone pure and immaculate that in maiden-motherhood brought forth God, intercede for the salvation of the soul of your servant.
Have mercy on us. O God, according to Your great mercy; we pray You, listen and have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
Again we pray for the repose of the soul of the servant of God Christopher, departed this life, and for the forgiveness of his every transgression, voluntary and involuntary.
Lord have mercy.
Let the Lord God establish his soul where the Just repose; the mercies of God, the Kingdom of the Heavens, and the remission of his sins, let us ask of Christ, our immortal King and our God.
Grant this, O Lord.
Let us pray to the Lord.
Lord have mercy.
O God of all spirits and of every flesh, Who did trod down death and overcome the devil, bestowing life on this Your world, to the soul of this Your servant Christopher, departed this life, do You Yourself, O Lord, give rest in a place of light, in a place of green pasture, in a place of refreshment, from where pain and sorrow and mourning have fled away. Every sin by him committed in thought, word, or deed, do You as our Good and Loving God forgive; seeing that there is no man who shall live and sin not, for You alone are without sin. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Law is truth; for You are the Resurrection, the Life, and the Repose of Your servant Christopher, departed this life, O Christ our God; and to You do we send up glory, with Your Eternal Father and Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit; both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
Reader: Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
Lord have mercy; Lord have mercy; Lord have mercy. Holy Father Bless.
Priest: Glory to You, O Christ our God and our Hope; glory to You. May Christ our true God, Who rose from the dead, have mercy on us; He Who as Immortal King has authority over both the dead and the living. Through the intercessions of His spotless, pure and holy Mother; of the holy, glorious, and all; praiseworthy Apostles; of our venerable and God bearing Fathers; of the holy and glorious forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; of His holy and just friend Lazaros, who lay in the grave four days; and of all the Saints; establish the soul of His servant Christopher, departed from us, in the tentings of the Just; give him rest in the bosom of Abraham; and number him among the Just, through His goodness and compassion as our merciful God.
Everlasting be your memory, O our brother, who are worthy of blessedness and eternal memory. (3)
Through the prayers of our holy Fathers, Lord, Jesus Christ our God, have mercy and save us. Amen.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” Leo Buscagli
Words can’t express how upetting this is. Chris and I ended on the wrong foot when he left this world. I would do anything to bring him back just one more time to make things right again. I can only imagine how painful this is for Mike and Sarah. He told me he was going to turn his life around. He had such big dreams for himself. He told me he was going to make it big one day. Everytime he walked into a room, his smile would fill it with brightness and love. I know his baby blue eyes are looking down on us right now. He’s still here, and this isn’t goodbye. He will never be forgotten, I’ll make sure that never happens. He’s brought Riverbend High School together as one big family. He will forever be in my heart. Rest in paradise Chris, I’ll see you up there soon.
Sarah & Mike,
I am so so saddened about Christopher and really have no clue what to say or do to ease your pain. Just know that I am here for you anytime, day or night, for any reason. I know Chris will be missed terribly by all who have been lucky enough to know him. Hugs, kisses, and many prayers to help you thru this pain.

Our many memories of Christopher are of happy times. Those warm summer days with small children playing in the yard, the boys playing catch in the street, and the ever present smile on his face. He touched our lives and will forever live in our hearts. Please allow these memories to comfort you in your loss. Heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Sarah and Mike, We were so blessed to have been apart of Christopher’s life when he was growing up. We have fond memories of our beach vacations spent with him. He always had a story to tell….the best story yet was “That Izzy’s bad news” I will cherish that memory forever. I was so surprised to see him at my work a few months back and he was no longer that little boy I remembered but was a young man. Love, Toni
Sarah, my heart is just breaking for you. I will have you and your family in my thoughts in the days and weeks ahead as you try and deal with this great loss. I am so sorry. Sheri
