Clarence “Ronnie” Morton, 64 of Stafford County, departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at his home from pancreatic cancer.

Mr. Morton was a retired concrete finisher. Born in Stafford, he was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie “Luvenia” Evans, daughter Crystal Morton, and nephew Ridgely Adderton.

Survivors include daughter, Delores “Bitsy” Morton Walker and husband Robert; three sons, Rodney and wife Tina, Lamont and Lorenzo; father Nathaniel Evans; sister Jackie M. Adderton and husband Jimmy; brother Clyde A. Evans and wife Delores; six grandchildren, Sidney, Reese, Jasmine, Tyease, RJ and Alicia; four great-grandchildren, Devyn, Lorenzo, Isaiah, and Lyana and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Brooke. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. James A. Jackson, pastor of New Journey Baptist Church, will give the eulogy. A repast will follow the service.
