We want you all to know how glad we were to be with you yesterday at Darlene’s service. It was a beautiful, meaningful memorial. “In the Garden” brought back memories of my Mother as well! Thank you for including us in your reception at your home, Barry. We enjoyed meeting more of the family, and it was heartwarming to see the family photos on your wall…your wife was a lovely woman. Until we see you at the River – Our love -
Barry and family….my heart goes out to you all at this difficult time and I hold you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that wonderful memories of times shared in the past will provide comfort and healing during the difficult times. While it has been many years since I saw Darlene (when I used to attend Bethel Baptist Church), I still recall the beauty of her smile, the vibrancy of her beautiful red hair, and the sweet, gentleness of her spirit. She will always remain in my mind a lady of true style, grace, and warmth. My deepest sympathies…..Forrest
I am so sorry to hear of Darlene’s passing. My memories of her are from elementary school days. She was a sweet, kind girlfriend. I remember visiting at her home and she had a tiny rabbit she had rescued in a peanut butter jar filled with cotton.(back then those jars were made of glass) She said it was a nest for her tiny orphan. It was the first time I had seen a wild, baby rabbit up close. Her compassion inspired me. She touched people from an early age. I know she will watch over you with love.
My prayers are with you all.
Beth
