It was a joy to know Dorothy. Her life was a testimony of how each of us should live. So grateful God allowed our paths to cross.
Ms. Dorothy was one of the nicest, sweetest and kindess Christian ladies whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She was active for many years going out to eat, attending school reunions and church. The past several years she started to have some health and stamina issues, but her mind remained intact. I’m sorry to say I had not visited her as much in the past couple of years because I have so many of my family members in other nursing homes. She loved life and the Lord and I know she’s gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.in
Heaven and know she’s loving her new home. Ms. Dorothy you are finally home and have no more aches and pains.
We’re all going to miss you Mrs. Thomas but we all know you’re in much better place. We enjoyed the time we spent with you as secretary of Spotsylvania High School and at quite a few of our reunions. You were one of the greatest ladies we’ve known.
Dorothy always seemed happy and grateful in her surroundings. Whenever we visited she always had such an optimistic attitude. Say “Hi!” to your pen-pal, Audrey Burton, for us. (Jack’s mother)
