Edna Truslow Sullivan left her earthly home to go to eternal rest on August 31, 2012.

She was a faithful Christian and lifetime member of the Fredericksburg Baptist Church. Edna was a beloved mother and cherished grandmother and great grandmother, affectionately called, Nana. Born December 19, 1919, Edna was the youngest daughter of Henry Tyler and Ida Burgess Truslow. She attended and graduated from Fredericksburg Public Schools and Jefferson Secretarial School. She was employed by FMC and Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging. Edna was initiated into Chapter 29 of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1967 and elected Grand Worthy Matron in 1973. She was a member of the Kenmore Garden Club.

Edna is survived by four children: Lavelle (Valery) Sullivan of Fredericksburg; Norma (Winston) Bowie of Ormond Beach, FL; Brenda Campbell of Burr Hill, Virginia; and Wilson Sullivan, Jr of Fredericksburg; six grandchildren: Troy, Elizabeth, Eric, Leslie, Shelly and Jami; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers, a grandson, Brian C. Sullivan and son-in-law, Rudy C. Campbell.

By all who knew her, Edna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.

A graveside service will be held 11am, Wednesday, September 5 in Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in Edna’s name to the Fredericksburg Baptist Church, 1019 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
