Holmes was a lovely person with drive and personality beyond the norm. He made my childhood and early adulthood, as his niece, so enjoyable when I was in his company. His smile and laugh made my day when I spent time with him and my dad, Henry William “Billy” Patton. He has been missed from my life of late, but I know he is in good company now with both his mom and my dad, his brother.
