Joseph Carlton Flippo, 88, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Woodmont Center.

Mr. Flippo was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Arlene Flippo; son Carlton D. Flippo and wife Penny; daughter Donna L. Curtis and husband Wayne; three grandchildren Chad Flippo, Sherri Mullins and Chassidy Williams; and two great grandchildren Dakota and Dalton.

Services will be private.

    Carlton,Donna and family…..Our thoughts and prayers are with you all on the passing of your Dad. He was a great man and Lord knows, put up with me enough when Donna and I were in high school.
