Shelby notified us of the accident and we were all shocked by the news. We have very fond memories of Phillip in the gym, at competitions, at camp, our time doing fund raisers…and lots of time in the loft at Novak’s. We will be there tomorrow to celebrate Phillip’s life with you.

Philip was my student at the Forge during his junior year. I retired this year and in a folder I found a letter that I had saved from Philip. He had thanked me for all my help in chemistry since he had made a concentrated effort the 2nd semester to do well. He was a spirited young man who enjoyed life and I know that he will always be remembered as such. May God give you strength. With deepest sympathy, Lynn Yealy
Dear Bob, Mary and Josh. We are so deeply saddened by and sorry for the loss of Phillip. The memories of all our times together at the gym remain, and will always make us smile. We knew Phillip was gifted from the first time we saw him flip down the TumbleTrack, and loved to watch him nearly touch the roof as he bounced on the trampoline. Please know that everyone of us grieves for your loss, and we are lifting each of you up in prayer. Matthew 5:4.

Our hearts yearn, to hear of the sudden death, of our beloved Phillip. He truly will be missed. Every time I saw him, he always had a smile. The Ymca will not be the same without him. He brought so much freshness and vigor to the pool area. I can’t believe he won’t be there the next time I go to the pool. His family are so blessed to have had him in their lives. May God grant the family, friends, His supernatural peace. May He give you strength for the days ahead. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. In spite of this unfortunate tragedy, God is ABLE, to mend your broken heart. Even though you may not understand this, TRUST Him, He loves you very much. God’s richest Blessings to you.

As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens. With deepest sympathy.
To the Oliver family,
I know Josh and Philp, they rode my bus to the colinal forge.. I would see Philip at Wal-mart, he always had a smile and would stop and talk to me.. We would laugh how he could time it just right to be at the stop when I came back out the road to pick him up. I’m going to miss those meetings and talks. We need to enjoy every minute we have with each person we see and talk to, becauses we don’t know what will happen the next day..
Ms Esther
I only met Phil a couple of times when he was very young, my memory is of a blonde, grinning dynamo running around with my nephews. What a happy gang they were! Wishing you comfort and strength in the days to come, Penny (Tina’s sister and Max and Nick’s aunt)

I have wonderful memories of the homeschooling years with my Catherine, your Josh and Philip! I will hold those memories even more dearly now…
I know there is nothing any of us can say or do that can help you through this time, but I hope there is some comfort in knowing how much love we all have for Philip and for your whole family.
Mary, Bob, & Josh
