Rebecca Ann Riley, 80, of Locust Grove, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Riley was a long-time resident of Culpeper. She worked for more than 20 years at Gayheart’s Drug Store in Culpeper before retiring. Mrs. Riley was a member of the Fredericksburg Eagles Lodge #4123, where she loved dancing. She attended Fredericksburg Senior Citizens Club, Belmont Baptist Church and Flat Run Baptist Church.
Mrs. Riley was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who was a friend to many and had a heart of gold.
Survivors include daughters Margaret Monroe and husband Doug of Hartwood, Tena Shifflett and husband Dale of Culpeper, Becky Finley and husband Randy of Wake Forest, NC and Shelia Mills of Fredericksburg; son Arthur Beach of Fredericksburg; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers David Ryder of Fredericksburg and Glen Ryder of Spotsylvania County; sisters Evelyn Waybright of Harrisonburg and Joyce Payne of Locust Grove; numerous nieces and nephews; companion Wade Hairfield of Spotsylvania; and her “sister” and best friend, Anna Mae Jenkins of Culpeper.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, Jan. 17 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Friday, Jan. 18 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Becky, she was a Special Lady and had a Smile for everyone. I truly enjoyed our times together, even though not often. As the song goes “She Lived Life Her Way”. She cared for others deeply and was loved by many. She was a Dear!
