I am so saddened by Rob’s death. I met Rob when he came to work at the News and Messenger. I liked him immediately. He was such a caring, fun-loving man and he will be sorely missed by many. My heart goes out to the entire family, but especially to Mary, also a former co-worker.
When I lost my mother a few years ago, I received many notes and cards; one in particular remains in my mind even today. It read “Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but love leaves a memory that no one can steal.” No one will ever be able to take away the memories of Rob because he was loved by so many. May God bless.
    Love and prayers,
    Candi

I was very saddened to hear about the tragic and untimely death of Rob. Our paths crossed many times when I was at The Stafford Sun and would attend meetings in Manassas or Woodbridge during the era of The Manassas Journal-Messenger and the Potomac News. He struck me as being serious about his advertising sales but had a sense of humor as well. It is said that “only the good die young”. Well, Rob was certainly one of the good ones. My deepest sympathy to his mother Mary and his other family members. May his memory be a blessing for us all.

Rob was so special and I had the priviledge of having a desk beside his at Century 21 New Millennium. He had the best laugh and we took advantage of that, I think we laughed about something everyday. I miss him so very much and send my very deepest sympathy to his family.

He always impressed me with his friendly and caring nature, it is no surprise to me that even after leaving this world he continued to give to others.
