Our prayers & deepest condolences go out to the family.
We had the pleasure of meeting Spencer during this last season of basketball & he was a great young man. We have seen a lot of postings about his baseball skills but, after attending every basketball game & practice, it was apparent that Spencer was skilled in basketball, as well. He helped us win the championship this season.
This feels like a bad dream since we just saw him @ the basketball banquet on Sunday.
Just as he pushed the players to do their best, this past season, we know that he will be looking down and cheering the team on this next season.
RIP Spencer. You are already missed by your teammates and their families.

Our prayers and sorrow extend to your family. God Bless You and Keep You.

Spencer- You will NEVER know how much you mean to me. We talked every single week and I still have the voice mail you left me last Friday, I’m going to save it forever. It’s hard, make that impossible, to imagine living without you. We always said we were going to get married and let me tell you, I believed it. Even my parents thought that we would end up married. I lost a major part of my life when I lost you. You were seriously my best friend who I know I could call at any time of the day, or just text when we were laying in bed and make it seem like you were right down the hall in Seth’s room like you should be, not over in Virginia . Believe me when I say that I love you, and I always will, and I hope you will watch over me from heaven and know that I will think about you every single day. I love you with all of my heart, Spencer. Always have and always will. I can’t wait to see you again in Heaven.
    Love,

    Spencer-
I have no idea where to even start. All throughout highschool, you were the goofy boy that made me laugh with your antics or your texts. I always loved getting that “Hey :” text randomly in the middle of the day or the middle of night. That summer that you helped distract me from Andrew really showed me what an amazing person you were. You were ALWAYS kind and never had a mean word to say. I will miss our chats in the middle school or the way that you would sometimes walk by, ignore me, and then turn around and laugh and say, “just kidding.” With one flash of your smile and one batting of eyelashes, I was smitten. I love you so much <3 and I wish I could be there to grieve and celebrate you with family and friends. I hope you understand that I had to be at ODU.

Each time I’m asked to give my favorite memory, I just chuckle because every memory I have is of us being up to no good. As office aides we would avoid running passes and instead sing Grease and The Temptations all period. We would get the entire administration running out of their offices. I’ll never forget the night we went to get ice cream with Brad. I remember looking into my rear view mirror because your headlights had vanished. When we made it to McDonalds we sat there for five minutes wondering where you were and finally you rolled up saying “Sorry I had to take a leak so I stopped in the school parking lot”. That was one of the funniest memories I have of you, that and the many times we would make Mrs. Newton yell. Senior take the lead day is going to be difficult without the dream team together to be the janitors. I can’t be Tammy without my sidekick Beverly. And leave it to you to make me have to clean Spotsy all day by myself. I’ll miss you Spencer, you were a great friend.
