Steven Craig Kurz, 51 of Stafford County passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011.

Mr. Kurz was a graduate of Stafford High School and a retired Logistics Manager for the Department of Defense.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna and his daughter, Makenzie; his parents, Charles and Joyce Kurz of Falmouth; his sister, Charlene Wright and her husband, Michael of Stafford; in-laws, Al and Ann Creasy of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Greg Creasy of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Mitzi Davis of Tampa, FL; uncles, Michael Kurz of Falmouth, and Wendell Suthard of Stafford; aunts, Frances Cloe of Richmond, Ann Bender of PA, and Nancy Winkler of Stafford; and six nephews.

A funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel with the Rev. Jack A. Marcom, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the funeral home.
