Mr. Willie Sykes was born June 17, 1935 in Stafford, Va.  He departed this life on October 14, 2012, at Stafford Hospital.

Mr. Sykes was a construction worker who loved to go hunting and fishing.  He also loved to fix lawnmowers.

He was preceded in death by his late wife Mrs. Lillie Sykes.

He leaves to mourn his ten children, Jesse Parker of Woodbridge, Daisy Ann Hylton of Fredericksburg, Gloria V. Jackson of Stafford, Karen Parker Jackson of Spotsylvania, Hazel Dotson of Stafford, Willie Sykes of Manassas, David Sykes of Haynesville, Mitchell Sykes of Fredericksburg, Ray Sykes of Fredericksburg and Geralene Sykes of Woodbridge; three sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one devoted friend PeeWee.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 19, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.  Interment will follow at Shiloh Old Site Cemetery in Stafford.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
