Annie Mae Kidd Jones

Annie Mae Kidd Jones of Fredericksburg passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at her home, a week before her 100th birthday. Annie Mae was born April 27, 1924, in Appomattox County, VA. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Kidd.

Annie Mae retired from the Bank of Virginia/ Signet Bank as the manager of the William Street branch in Fredericksburg. She was a longtime member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church.

Annie Mae is survived by her sons, John Jones (Kathy) and Robbie Jones (Laurie); granddaughters Carrie Jones, Lindsey Dickerson, Kirby Jones, and Maggie Henderson; and great-grandchildren Peyton and Jameson Dickerson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert D. Jones; two brothers; and six sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Fredericksburg Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
