Georgios Kapataidakis

Georgios Kapataidakis, 95, of Fredericksburg passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 peacefully at his home. He was born December 24, 1928 in Athens, Greece to the late Paraschos and Hrysoula Kapataidakis. 

Georgios was a member of the Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church of Fredericksburg.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and George Katsourakis; his grandson and his wife, P.G. and Ashley Katsourakis; his great-grandchildren, Evangelia, Alexandra and George Katsourakis of Fredericksburg; and his sister, Katie Kapataidakis of Greece. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Georgia Kapataidakis of Fredericksburg. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church.
