Though we are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Mary Beth Conrad, 64, we are rejoicing for she triumphantly returned to our Heavenly Father on April 8, 2024.
Mary Beth (Proctor) Conrad was born on August 31, 1959, in Alexandria, Virginia, and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She graduated from James Monroe High School and later settled to raise her own family in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Mary Beth retired from Fredericksburg Social Services after over 30 years and later joined the Advancement Team at the University of Mary Washington for nearly 10 years.
Mary Beth’s greatest role and accomplishment, however, was found at home as a mother and later as the one and only – Mamos (grandmother). She loved with her whole heart and led her family and friendships with unparalleled strength and faith above all else. Her light and laughter will not be forgotten and are written into the hearts of all who had the honor of calling her family or friend.
Mary Beth is survived by her loving daughter, Holly Weaver (Newman); two devoted grandsons, Mason Weaver and Matthew Sprint; sister, Janice Feagan; brother, Wayne Proctor; the love of her life, William (Ed) Conrad Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Edwards and Janice Elizabeth Feagan; stepsister, Anne Hutchinson; and stepmother, Della Edwards.
A funeral service will be held at Salem Fields Community Church, at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 3, 2024. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family cordially invites you back to Salem Fields Community Church for repast immediately following graveside services at 3 p.m.
