Alden Lee "Bill" Rogers

Alden Lee “Bill” Rogers, 81, of Locust Grove, passed at home peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023, surrounded by family. 

Bill was a beloved husband, father, papaw and great Grandpa. He was born on May 28, 1941 to Alden Clifford and Betty Jo Rogers in Bridgeport, WV. He worked hard from a young age in a machine shop and eventually moved to Virginia and secured a position as a Machinist at the Washington Post.  Bill retired from the Washington post in 2008 after 19 ½ years of service. He made a lot of lifelong friends through working at the post.

Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years Patricia; sisters Patricia Schader and Valentine White; sons Alden Scott, Russell Dale, and Kevin Lee; daughters Mischelle Stacy Kacinec and Kimberly Dawn Jenkins; grandchildren Tommy, Devon, Nicholas, Jason, Jessica, Trevor, Travis, Kylee, Morgan, and Bryce; and great grandchildren Quinn Evie, Ella Rose, and Remington Ray.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Laura Dale Murphy; and a great grandchild Sebastian Lane Quintana.

A service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
