Alfonzo “Phillip” Scott, 54, gained his wings on November 14, 2021 in transit to a local hospital from complications due to his surgery.
His life began on November 23, 1966 to the late Alfonzo Scott and Geraldine Scott of Caroline County, VA.
Phillip attended and completed his education through the Caroline County School District. After school Phillip always wanted to drive the big rigs so he obtained his CDL where he found gainful employment for many years. As time passed he knew he wanted more so that landed him with his final employer Jim Carpenter Co in Fredericksburg, VA. At this company they were more than employer to employee, they were more like family.
On May 15, 1993, Phillip united in marriage to Juanita Fox and to this union he was blessed with a BONUS son and a daughter. During his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his favorite football team-WASHINGTON.
Phillip leaves to cherish his memory is his wife, Juanita Scott; two children Michael Fox and Maria Sacks; son-in-law Logan Sacks; two grandkids Isabelle & Natalie Sacks; one sister Frances Scott; two brothers James Scott and Charles Scott; three sister-in-laws Anita Fox, Tasha Ayers, and Tammy Beanum; two brother-in-laws Anthony Fox and Jeffrey Ayers; father/mother-in-law James and Ivory Fox; five uncles Curtis, James, Earnest, Lennwood, and Charles Jackson; two aunts Mary and Bee. Phillip also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents; brother Bryant Scott; and grandmother Pauline Jackson.
A service will be held on Monday, November 29 at 2 p.m. at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. A gathering will follow from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cosner Park, 1 HCC Dr. Fredericksburg, VA.
