Alfred J DeCarli, Jr.

Alfred J. DeCarli, Jr., of Stafford, VA passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. Born March 3, 1965 in Cherry Point, NC. He worked for UPS for 23 years and referred to himself as "The stud in brown duds". He had a quick wit and everyone he loved and cared about had nicknames that he gave them. When Alfred entered a room you never knew which character would appear. Alfred was an avid hunter and when not in the woods he would go fishing. When you walked in his room he would be watching, Nascar, Hunting and Fishing shows. Always, had a smile and really shined as a loving father to his children. When attending Potomac Senior High School Al was a varsity wrestler from his Freshman year to his Senior year. As a Senior he placed 3rd at 112 pound weight class in the VA AAA State Wrestling Championship.

He is survived by his children, Brittany, Scott, and Jenna DeCarli; his mother Stella DeCarli, siblings, Julie Strohecker (Ric), Christine Locke (Terry), Patty McClure (Arthur) and Jerry; he was a cherished Uncle to 9 nieces and nephews, Great Uncle to 16 nieces and nephews, and Great Great Uncle to 3. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane L. Tomasinski and his father Alfred J. DeCarli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle, VA, or to the American Heart Association.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Triangle, VA. The family is working on settling on a live stream, for those who are not able to attend the service.
