Andrew C. Anderson

Andrew "Drew" Anderson, 27, passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2021, at his home in Spotsylvania County.

Drew was an autistic special needs adult who was born in Mary Washington Hospital, and lived his entire life in the Fredericksburg area.

He loved walks in the parks, rides in the car, golf cart rides, and family vacations in Myrtle Beach. His eyes would light up when it came to cheese pizza, chocolate milk and cookies, cinnamon Pop Tarts, and Olive Garden bread sticks. Drew loved all things Thomas the Tank Engine -- videos, trading cards, and wooden trains. He was happiest when he played and re-played animated Disney movies, Veggie-Tales, the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and more. We will miss his bright eyes, smiles, hugs, laughter, high-fives and forehead-to-forehead contact. Drew was loved by all who took the time to get to know him.

Drew is survived by his grandmother, Joan Wettstein; parents Steve & Anne Anderson; and his siblings Alex, Samantha, Mandi, and Ben. Drew had three sets of aunts and uncles; and fourteen cousins residing in Virginia, Missouri, Michigan, and California.

A service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday November 24, at the chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
