Antonia Ortiz Morris, 95, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Antonia was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico and moved to the mainland United States in 1953. She was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church and practiced her faith while serving her community as a Eucharistic minister and as a member of the Rosary Altar Society.
Antonia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend; she was beloved by all who knew her. She raised three children and was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker, and gardener.
Survivors include her children, Robert Morris (Terri), Richard Morris, and Janese Morris (Jim Pankau); grandchildren Tahlia Pankau, Nicholas Pankau, Kallie Pankau, Thomas Pankau, Timothy Morris, and Matthew Morris; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin Morris.
A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 16 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 7 in Turlock Memorial Park in Turlock, CA.
