Arthur Maroney

Arthur Maroney, 76, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on January 15, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved to tell jokes everywhere he went. He was a Godly man and loved his church, Faith Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, VA. He was a Naval Contractor for 17 years for Computer Sciences Corporation. Stamp collecting was a hobby he loved. This began when he was 8 years old, shown to him by his wife’s grandfather. He was also a post card collector. Goofy was his favorite Disney character. He was very much into history, the Civil War. He sang in the Rappahannock Choral Society and was a member since 2007; he enjoyed singing and putting on concerts himself for Christian ministries. His favorite place to be was with his wife, Janet at the beach.

Survivors include his wife of over 56 years, Janet Maroney; two sons David (Maroney) Niimi (Yoko), of Seattle, Washington, and Kevin Maroney (Heather) of Stafford, VA; two grandchildren, Maverick Maroney and Janessa Maroney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Maroney.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Faith Baptist Church 4105 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. More information to follow.
