Barbara Ann Bauserman

On Friday, April 2, 2021, Barbara Ann Bauserman, affectionately known as Bobbie and as Mrs. B, loving wife and mother of three fell asleep and awoke with Jesus at the age of 83. 

Barbara was born to William and Viola McCormac, the youngest of four brothers and four sisters. She graduated from Suitland High School in 1955 and went to work for the federal government after graduation. Later that year, she met her soon to be husband, Warren Bauserman also known as Mr. B. They were married seven months later on May 4, 1956. 

Barbara loved God, her family, animals, and music. The world was her mission field and she widely shared the word of God. She raised 3 children and helped countless extended family members. From the time she was a child she always had a pet whether it be a stray animal, a horse, or a motherless calf. Barbara sang in the church choir and in later years learned to play the upright bass and played in a gospel band in church. She was a lay leader for Rouzie’s United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Warren; daughter Ginger (Steven); daughter Karen-Ann; grandsons Tab and Tré; granddaughter Sarah; great-grandson Alek; and sister Lolly. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; and her beloved son, Chip.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, 4801 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Bauserman Family Cemetery in Beaverdam.
