Barbara E. Sheffield

Barbara E. Sheffield, 69, of Fredericksburg passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Known to most as Barby or simply “Oma” our mother loved people. She loved to cook and to serve, most of her years were spent being a homemaker and traveling around with our father, the late Charles Sheffield. She was devoted to her family.

Survivors include her children, Patrick Sheffield (Sarah), Diana Williams (Dwain), and Larissa Sheffield; step-son Cassius Powell (Precious); grandchildren Josiah Lattimore, Malachi Sheffield, Elias Sheffield, Kaleb Williams, Lucas Sheffield, and Naomi Williams; siblings Michael Weiner (Erika), Uwe Weiner, and Sabine Weiner; many nieces and nephews; and friends who were like family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sheffield; and parents Aribert and Erika Weiner. 

A service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 28 at Corner Stone Church, 2304 US-70 Newbern, North Carolina.
