Bridget Jean Wilkins, 68, of Falmouth passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Bridget retired from Peoples/CVS as an Inventory Control Worker after 26 years of faithful service. Before going to CVS, Bridget was employed by P&D Automotive and various other jobs.
Bridget was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she participated in deaf ministry, including deaf bible study, plays, and signing with the group Happy Hands. Previously, she was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church. She helped organize Fall festivals, Easter egg hunts, and Vacation Bible School. She loved her Sunday school class.
Bridget loved community service and was very involved with helping others. She was the Vice President of the Hearing Loss Club of Fredericksburg, Rappahannock Chapter. She volunteered often at the disAbility Resource Center in Fredericksburg. She supported Stafford Jaycees, Hands Across America, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, and the Alzheimer’s Association by raising money for these causes.
Bridget loved people and her dogs, especially her lab, Kristy Holly.
She was very giving to her family and friends, and will be sorely missed by all.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Kevin Wilkins of Falmouth; brother David Woolfrey, Jr. (Carol) of Orange; sister Belinda Boggs (Chris) of Falmouth; nieces Madeline, Victoria, Sarah, Amanda, Kristina, Joann, Stephanie, and Leah; nephews Matthew, Chris, David, Steven, Nathan, and John; as well as 26 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, David and Betty Wolfrey of Falmouth.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 2 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 3 at Spotswood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
