Carol Wheat Rohme

Carol Wheat Rohme, 74 of Fredericksburg, VA passed away on January 8, 2021 at her home.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and an LPN in Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby at Mary Washington Hospital for 46 years.

As a little girl, Carol was an honorary majorette for the James Monroe Marching Band, see the adorable photo above.  She joined Job’s Daughters when she was a teenager and was a founding member of the COBs when she reached a certain age.  If you don’t know what COBs stands for then you clearly aren’t a member.  Carol loved bowling, played on a league for many years, movies, 50’s & 60’s music and traveling.  Trips with her friends and sister Pam provided wonderful memories and even greater stories.

Carol’s feistiness and humor was clearly passed to her children, Kevin Pitts (Caryn) and Janelle Smith (Jimmy), grandchildren, Amanda Bradshaw (Justin), Eric Smith and Logan Smith and great-grandchild, Lincoln Bradshaw.

Carol has now happily reunited with her father and mother, Jack and Rosie Wheat, her brother Kenny Wheat and her sister Pam Horton.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00am.
