Carole Wurzel Coen

Carole Wurzel Coen, 75, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at her home.

Carole was born on March 30, 1944 and was raised in Newell, WV. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Coen on June 4, 1966. Carole pursued an education in radiology and worked as an X-ray technician for over 30 years. She and Ron raised a family in northern Virginia. Carole enjoyed being outdoors in nature, traveling in their RV, and spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ron; son Paul; daughter Sarah (Tom); grandchildren Kyle and Kady; and sister Arlene. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Charles and Cora Elizabeth Wurzel.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25 at St. Mary Catholic Church. There will be a reception to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Celebrate Riverside Lodge, 11 McQuarie Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22406. Inurnment will be held at Laurel Hill Memorial Park Columbarium in a private ceremony.
