Catherine Lee Davis

Catherine Lee Davis, 73, of Spotsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Kitty was born in Marlinton, West Virginia on March 22, 1949. For many years, she was a certified nurse aid and took pride in her elderly patients. Kitty enjoyed camping with her family. She loved spending time with and spoiling her great-grandchildren. She was a spitfire and was loved by everyone. She spoke her mind and lived by the famous words “if you think it, you might as well say it.”

She is survived by her children, Peggy Hepner (Cecil), Loretta Lucas (partner Jeff Kidder), Robert Davis, Jr., Nancy Blankenbaker, and Woody Davis all of Spotsylvania, Virginia; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister Francis Sawyer of Newport News, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Davis, Sr.; parents Bernard and Hattie Lester; siblings Tom Lester and Sue Garrison; son-in-law William Lucas; and great-grandchildren Hattie Welch and Destiny Perry.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 8 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
