Charles Anthony Carle, Jr., 56, of Stafford County, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at his home.
Charles was born and grew up in Long Island, NY. He attended Bay Shore High School where he excelled in athletics and was the basketball captain during his time there. After graduation, he attended Norwich University in Vermont, on a full basketball scholarship; and later enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Charles proudly served his country for six years before receiving his honorable discharge. He went on to earn an Associates Degree in IT Network Engineering, complete all levels of Cisco CCNP/CCNA Certifications; and in the late 90's, became the IT Director for NVMHI for the State of Virginia until a shift in their entire IT organization, in the early 2000's. Also, he occasionally taught computer classes at NOVA Community College. Charles retired in 2012 to focus on his battle with colon cancer. In the following years, he enjoyed going to flea markets to sell survival gear and share his love of guns and disaster preparedness. He also enjoyed time with family and reconnecting with long lost loved ones.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; children Charles, III (Crystal Anne), Amber, Parisse and Jordyn; grandchildren Autumn, Adonis and Benjamin; mother Nettie Mae Carle; and siblings Marvin Carle and Robin Lartey. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Carle, Sr. and brother Cleotis Wilder.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow service in Quantico National Cemetery.
