Charles A. “Chuck” McCormack III

Charles A. “Chuck” McCormack III, 79, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at home.  He was born in Waddy, Kentucky on October 29, 1941 to Charles A. and Rebecca Louise McCormack.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Maggie; two daughters Eleanor Lasher (David) and Emily Lussier (Damon); five grandchildren Charlie and Hannah Lasher and Molly, Lacey and Sally Lussier; and two sisters Becky Jones (Curtis) and Patsy Chace (Arnold).

Chuck founded Rappahannock Construction Company in 1972.  He was on the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Fredericksburg and was a Founding Director of Virginia Partners Bank. He was a member of the Fredericksburg Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Chuck was also a member of The Dominion Club. Chuck was an avid Hunter and Fisherman which is the way he would like to be remembered. He was recently awarded the Fredericksburg DU Wetlands Protector in 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery.
