Christina Michelle Haskell

November 23, 1977 ~ December 1, 2019 (age 42) 42 Years Old

Tribute

Christina Michelle Haskell lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, December 1, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends when the Lord took her home to rest.

Christina was born November 23, 1977 in Hobbs, NM. After graduating from Abilene High School, Christina left Abilene, Texas to start a new life with her husband and high school sweetheart, Mike Haskell. They settled with their three children, Cameron, Lauren, and Chandler in Fredericksburg, where she spent 20 years devoting herself to her husband, Mike (of 20 years) and children.  After raising her children, she decided to pursue a career in a field that had always held a special place in her heart. With the support of her boyfriend, Steve Piepenbring, she achieved certificates as a security officer and private investigator. Steve supported Christina not only with her career interests but was by her side throughout her battle with cancer and through her final days at the hospital. The family always wants to express gratitude to her closest friend, Karina Lewis, who provided her with great emotional support, love and friendship through her time in Virginia and especially in her final years.

Christina is survived by her three children, Cameron Haskell and his fiancée, Dacey Hill, Lauren Haskell, and Chandler Haskell; her parents, Glenda and Dan Hendrickson, and Gary Blackerby; sister Audrey Munson and her husband, Chris; brother John Hendrickson and his wife, Cassie; and her aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Louise Walker; grandparents, Loleat and Arthur Blackerby and Richard and June Hendrickson; and brother Clint Hendrickson and his wife, Allyson.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. In lieu of a graveside service, a reception will be held at the Hampton Inn, Fredericksburg.
