Christopher S. Maxey

Christopher S. Maxey, 24, of Gaithersburg, Maryland passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

Christopher was always a tow truck driver at heart after growing up around towing his entire life. We know that his Papaw (Tommy) Maxey was so proud of him. Christopher was employed at Big TOW in Rockville, Maryland. He absolutely loved his job and towing family at Big TOW.

Christopher also loved racing- it didn’t matter if it was go-carts or dirt track racing at Virginia Motor Speedway and Potomac Speedway. He adored his racing family. They truly were his second family. Thank you to everyone that was so good to him over the years.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Kaylan Maxey of King George, and Jessica and George Alther of Culpeper; sisters Emmy and Maddy Maxey; brother Thomas Maxey; uncle (but more like a brother) Brian Maxey (Michele) of King George. Christopher also has beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his adored grandparents, Tommy and Pam Maxey.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Reverend Davis, 10640 Kings Hwy, King George, VA 22485.
