Christopher Troy Weedon

It is with great sorrow that the family of Christopher Troy Weedon, 62, announces his passing on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Stafford Hospital after a 5.5 year battle with end stage renal disease.

Christopher, often times called Chris, honey, or Pop-pop, lived a life full of love, laughter, and peace. You could often times find Chris working around the yard, tinkering with cars, enjoying his grandchildren, or spending time with his beloved wife and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Zena Weedon; mother Delphia McCarty; step-daughters Lisa Jennings (Jeffrey) and Patricia Stenger (James); step-son Brian Kirby (Megan); grandchildren Cameron Jennings, Brantley Kirby, Hayleigh Dunnigan, and Maddison Stenger; sister Melissa Sampson (Tom); niece Lilyanne; and nephew Michael. 

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Harrison Weedon; grandparents Thomas Irving Weedon and Lula Elizabeth Burton Weedon; aunt Helen and Thomas Irving Weedon, Jr.  

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
