Chuck Dent

Chuck Dent, 64, of Mineral, Virginia passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 30, 2021.

Chuck spent most of his life in Dumfries, Virginia and graduated from Gar-Field High School.  He worked his way up through the construction industry to a project manager overseeing large commercial projects before retiring to Lake Anna.

Known as Chucky to many, he grew up as a skilled outdoorsman and fierce competitor.  He was an avid bass fisherman and loved chasing waterfowl on the Potomac River. Throughout his life, he spent many days on a ballfield or basketball court competing with family and friends.  In retirement at Lake Anna he enjoyed his days in their first garage, then later at The Shack on his dock.  He loved to entertain friends and cheer on the Washington sports teams.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Dent, and wife, Mari Don Dent.  He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Dent; two children Tracey Beaver (Jonathan) and Joe Dent (Amber); two grandsons, Mason and Gideon Dent; his brother, Greg Dent (Carol); his special sister, Bonnie Ramey (Mike); and a large, loving extended family. 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. A celebration of life will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the funeral home chapel.
