It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence K. Waller, Jr., affectionately known as "JR" or "Jay," at the age of 39. Born in Fredericksburg, VA, JR was a cherished member of the community and a proud graduate of Massaponax High School.
JR’s passion for life was evident in everything he did. Professionally, Jay was known as the "cell phone guy," a testament to his extensive knowledge and expertise during his career at Best Buy, Sprint, and T-Mobile, where his friendly demeanor and unwavering dedication to customer service left a lasting impact.
He generously devoted his time as an assistant football coach at his alma mater, inspiring young athletes with his dedication and spirit. His love for the Massaponax Panthers was a testament to his commitment to his roots and community.
Well known in the gaming community as NS Overtime, Jay was an integral member of Team Insight, Respawn Podcast, and achieved accolades in Madden & Call of Duty. His enthusiasm for gaming was matched only by his love for his mother Elaine Waller and his loyalty as a diehard Redskins (Commanders) fan, cheering on his team through every season.
Jay’s sudden departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his hearty laugh, and his kind heart – a true gentle giant. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
JR is survived by his loving mother, Elaine Waller; aunt Linda Evans-Jones; sister Stephanie Waller-Morris; brother Rodney Waller; nephew and niece Hassan & Zahara Morris; first cousins Dominique & Desiree Waller and Terron Lewis; and many cherished friends and family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 9 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Waller Family Cemetery.
Rest in peace, Jay. You will be profoundly missed but NEVER forgotten.
