Daniel A. Maida

Daniel A. Maida, 35,  of Ruther Glen was called home to God on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. He died suddenly while at work.

Daniel, originally from Fredericksburg, worked as a fire sprinkler technician for VSC Fire & Security and was pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.  Daniel served active duty in the U.S. Army from 2005-2012 and completed two tours in Iraq. He continuously made great sacrifices for his country, friends, and family.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Ashley Maida and their three children, Aiden, Audrianna, and Daniel Jr.; his parents, Anthony and Patricia Maida; his sister, Susan Maida-Church (Jason Church); and two nephews and seven nieces.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Louis and Margaret Budzyn and Peter and Ottavia Maida.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 14 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 15 at St. Mary of the Annunciation, Reverend Alexander Muddu will officiate.  Burial will be in the Saint Mary’s Cemetery (Saint Cyril Methodius) at 8252 Paige Rd, Woodford and serving as pallbearers will be William Lee, Anthony Lippa, III, David Maida, Michael Mehm, Michael Stapleton, and Eric Torres.
