Danny Kaye Sullivan

Danny Kaye Sullivan, 71, of Fredericksburg went to be with the Lord and the love of his life LouVerne Sullivan on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Danny retired as an Ironworker from Superior Iron Works. He was a proud member of the Ironworkers Union Local 28 and Local 5. Danny’s commitment to give back to the community led him to be an active member of the Fredericksburg Elks Lodge # 875, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie # 4123, and the Soap Box Derby. Danny’s greatest love and commitment were to his family. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation for his family. Two of Danny’s other passions were hunting and his cars. He was a former member of Battlefield Street Rod Club, and Fredericksburg Street Rod Club  He was a current member of the Virginia Stockers Club.

Survivors include a son, Frank Sullivan of Glen Allen; a daughter, Deena Sullivan-Nelms (Mike) of Hartwood; a brother Albert “Bill” Sullivan of Florida; his beloved fur companion/son Sully; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Estelle Sullivan; brothers Jack (Roberta), Donald, Earl “Spanky,” Robert “Bobby” (Carol), and Jerry (Maxine); sisters, Pat Pitts (Johnny), Betty Curtis (Joe), and Alice Balthrop.

A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with Rev. Gary Limbrick officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will be held at a later date. The service will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, National Pancreas Foundation, or the Lisa Pitts Eley Cancer Foundation.
