David Lee Lindahl, of Fairport died Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at the age of 80, in Fredericksburg.
Born December 20, 1938 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Carl and Clara (Hovde) Lindahl.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Grace (Bishop) Lindahl; his daughter, Elizabeth Hogan (Michael); and OK son, David Jr.; two grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Hogan; and his sister, Mary Lou Nelson, of MN. David also leaves brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Kristy Bishop of VA and Sandra and Dan Leonard of GA; plus many special nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his parents and his brother in law, Norbert Nelson of MN.
After retiring from Xerox Corporation as a Personnel manager, he taught at St. John Fisher College in the MBA program and was a substitute teacher for the Fairport School District. He loved golf, classic cars, 50's music and was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fairport. Above all, David was a people person and found great pleasure in being with his family and the many friends he made over his lifetime. His quick wit, compassionate spirit and pleasant personality were his trademarks.
A memorial service will take place at noon on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford chapel.
