Dena F. Mosser

Dena F. Mosser, 74, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022, after a sudden illness. Her family was by her side. 

She is survived by Wayne T. Mosser, her husband of 54 years; her daughter, Traci M. Alai (Jack); son, Kevin W. Mosser (Sara); grandchildren Ashley, Avery, Peter, and Eleanor; siblings Edward Null (Debbie), Keith Null (Kathy), and Karen Stanley (John); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Born in Baltimore, Dena was the daughter of the late Bruce and Daisy Null. Over the years, Dena brought her exceptional office management and organizational skills to various organizations including the Department of the Army, Dumfries Elementary School, the Spotsylvania County Health Department, and Baird Concrete. She also spent many years as a homemaker, creating a beautifully warm and inviting space for her family, full of laughter and love. 

An engaged volunteer throughout the different chapters of her life, Dena contributed her many talents to the PTA, the Spotsylvania High School Athletic Boosters, and the Spotsylvania County Woman’s Club, among others. In recent years, she was active with the Newcomers and Old Friends Club and a social lunch bunch group. 

Dena loved reading, playing board games and dominoes, traveling, and above all, spending time with her four grandchildren. 

The family will be receiving relatives and friends between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reading Is Fundamental or the Boys & Girls Club of the Rappahannock Region.
