As we celebrate the life of Edgar Suarez, we remember the big smile, full of love and happiness. Eddie, 60, passed away much too young on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at his home in Stafford, Virginia.
Eddie is survived by his two sons Jason and Brandon; stepson Tony Warren; and grandchildren JJ and Andrew Suarez. He was an incredible person who loved his family and friends more than anything in this world. He loved his brothers, Michael, Tony, and Edwin, and looked up to them very much. The passion and love that his children hold and express to this very day was instilled in them by Eddie. He always offered a helping hand to everyone without expecting anything in return. Eddie spent the last decade of his life taking care of his father, Luis Suarez (Pop), whom he loved and adored so much. Pop meant the world to him and he couldn’t have asked for a better father. He instilled some important life skills in him, and Eddie’s goal was to be just like his father. Eddie became a barber just like his father and he worked so fast that he was given the name “Fast Eddie,” which was used by all his clients and friends. He was a son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to so many.
Eddie loved the outdoors and loved to cook. He went fishing, hunting, and camping even if it was in the backyard at Pop’s house. One of our fondest memories was going fishing in the early mornings for bass, his favorite fish to catch and cook. He would grill steaks in the backyard and listen to Salsa, Cumbia, and anything else that would make him move his hips with one hand across his belly and one hand in the air with that big, beautiful smile as he danced in circles. His Sundays were spent yelling at the TV screen and acting like he was the Head Coach of the Washington Redskins. Eddie will be missed and loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.
In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our father. In this life you embraced him with your tender love; deliver him now from evil and bid him eternal rest. Welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain, but fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever, Amen.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4.
