Edward Soifer

Edward Soifer, 87, of Stafford passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2019 at his home.

Edward was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He served in the United States Navy and retired after a 38 year career at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing but his favorite job was being a very proud grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Shirley Soifer; daughter Nancy Kidwell (Barry) and son-in-law Robert Stewart; grandchildren Cathie Stewart Bressack, Kyle Stewart, Nathan Kidwell, Matthew Kidwell, Paul Kidwell, Holly Fleek, and Wayne Soifer; and sister Noreen Perry.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Freda Soifer; daughter Susan Stewart; grandson Danny Kidwell; sister Toby Coleman and three brothers, Sid, Phil and Donny Soifer.   

A service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 26 at Ferry Farm Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, Virginia. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Washington Hospice or Ferry Farm Baptist Church.
