Ethel Pauline McElfresh

Ethel Pauline McElfresh (née Cox), 83, of Fredericksburg, VA went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2020.

Ethel is survived by her loving husband Lewis F. McElfresh of 66 years; four children Chrystal Kern, Paul Keith McElfresh, Lewis McElfresh Jr. and Rebecca Sparkman; sons-in-law Harry Kern and Christopher Sparkman; daughter-in-law Debbie McElfresh; eight grandchildren and their spouses Becca Kern, Paul and Jackie McElfresh, Alyssa and Nathan Algee, Christopher McElfresh, Alexandria McElfresh, Davy and Brian Leighton, Ben and Lindsey Sparkman, and Mandy and Robert Castillo; and seven great-grandchildren Teara and Lexie McElfresh, Evan and Braiden Castillo, Madison Leighton, Emilia and Harrison Sparkman.

Ethel was born in Rincon, NM and met the love of her life, Lewis McElfresh in Bard, California where they were married in 1954. As a Pastor’s wife she moved around the country finding joy through her love of God and family. She was a management accountant and established water districts in three towns in Northern California. In addition to being around family she enjoyed cooking and sewing.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday October 25, 2020 at 4:00pm at Ramoth Baptist Church, 478 Ramoth Church Rd., Stafford, VA.
