Ferris Mageed “F.M.” Belman
August 16, 1953 ~ November 13, 2023 (age 70) 70 Years Old
Ferris Mageed “F.M.” Belman, Jr., age 70, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, died peacefully at his home in Spotsylvania surrounded by family on the evening of Monday, November 13th.
He was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia, in 1953 to Ferris and Edna Belman. Ferris was the eldest of five sons and grew up in Fredericksburg. He attended James Monroe High School before joining the US Army and eventually worked a career driving tractor trailers all across the United States.
Ferris had many joys in life including art, music, boating, and nature. He was a skilled craftsman and artist. He shared these passions with his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary C. Belman, and his 4 children.
Ferris Belman, Jr. was preceded in death by his father Ferris Belman, Sr.; daughter Sarah DiGennaro; and brother Rodger Belman.
He is survived by his wife Mary C. Belman; mother Edna G. Belman ; daughters Mary Elizabeth Castillo and Jessica Metcalf; son, Robert William Belman; three brothers, Robert Belman, David Belman, and Matthew Belman; 12 grandchildren; two sons-in-law; two great-grandsons; and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
The family will hold a private memorial service to honor the life of Ferris Belman, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
