Gale Edwin Howay

Gale Edwin Howay, 76, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at his home.

A Vietnam veteran, Gale retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service as an engineer and watercraft operator. He enjoyed working with his hands, be it on household projects or gardening. He was also active in attending and lending support at local veterans meetings. During his later years, Gale enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, and reminiscing about his life to friends old and new.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lamyai O. Howay; two sons Noytom E. Howay and Suvicha O. Howay; and sisters Pam Burleson and Linda Banes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Juanita Howay.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Quantico National Cemetery where he will be buried with full military honors.
