George Nicholas Phillips Jr. passed away on Wednesday, November 17th at the age of 68. He died of natural causes in the peace of his own home in Spotsylvania, Virginia.
A news junkie and avid history buff, George enjoyed watching historical documentaries, sci-fi thrillers and riding his Harley Davidson during his free time. He also dedicated himself to a successful career in IT for over 30 years with the Federal Government.
What George was most proud of, was his two sons, Nick and Ryan, whom he raised with their mother, Bonnie. We warmly remember playing games, making each other laugh, and George always having a witty quip to respond with in any situation.
A gathering open to all who knew him will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 22 at his favorite place, Hard Times Cafe in Four Mile Fork, Fredericksburg VA. George will be put to rest permanently on 12/1 at 11:30 a.m. with a military service in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, buy a friend a beer or donate to George's last bar tab, in remembrance HERE
