Gladys M. Wright

Gladys M. Wright, 83, entered to rest on Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Spotsylvania County.

First and foremost, Gladys loved serving the Lord. She enjoyed singing in the choir and working in the missionary while serving others. Gladys retired from Giant Food and Westminister at Lake Ridge after nearly thirty years of dedicated service. She loved traveling and spending time with her extended family and loved ones. Gladys was well known for her never ending smile and potato salad. She truly enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

Those left to mourn but cherish her memories are her children, Robert W. Wright, Angela Brown (Alphonso), and Kathy Santos (Pedro); five grandchildren, Michele Brown, Jermias Santos (Michelle), Andreas Brown (Kristen), Ashley Santos, and Kayla Santos; two great-grandchildren, Aryia Brown and Bella Santos; two sisters, Barbara J. Anderson of New Jersey and Peggy Gregor (Hans) of Missouri; brother Lawrence Smith (Marilyn) of Fredericksburg; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert W. Wright; mother Kittie Smith; and brother Irving Smith.

A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.
