Glenna Kay Staggs

Glenna Kay Staggs was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 14, 1943. She entered Heaven’s gates on March 09, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Price and Virginia Griffin. Glenna married the late Lloyd Staggs Jr. in San Antonio, Texas. Following their marriage, they lived all over the world before ultimately settling in Woodbridge, Virginia, where they raised their family.

Glenna was a loving wife, mother and friend. At a young age, Mrs. Staggs was an accomplished and award winning equestrian rider. Her favorite pastime was to read books and watch wildlife. She loved to cook and have family gatherings with friends and family. She loved to fish and birdwatch. She was a sports fan and loved her Dallas Cowboys.

Glenna was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Staggs Jr., her son Brin Staggs and her granddaughter Elizabeth Staggs. Glenna is survived by her two sons Lloyd Staggs 3rd and Mark Staggs and her daughter Charlyn Brownell. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Quantico National Cemetery. Due to the current State of Emergency in Virginia, we have been informed that the service will be restricted to immediate family only as the 10 person limit the state is requiring applies to any gathering, even funerals. A wake celebrating Glenna’s life will be held at a later date and details will be posted at that time.
