Henry "John" Castro, Jr.

Henry “John” Castro, Jr., 94, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at his home. 

Mr. Castro was a Senior Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) U.S. Navy veteran. He was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. 

Survivors include his wife, June Berry Castro; daughter Cathy C. Dobson (Bradley); granddaughters Heather C. Haddock (Christopher) and Allison D. Dobson; great-grandchildren Logan and Ryan; and sister Mary Justina Young of San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, David A. Castro. 

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery. 

The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to his caregivers who helped him during his illness.
